Poetry in Pajamas at Miami Beach Botanical Gardens: “Back for a 2nd year, Get on you pj's for this free family-friendly evening to watch inspired young poets. Staged on a giant bed under the Banyan Tree, "poetry in Pajamas'" is an open mic for children to recite poetry in their pajamas, led by brothers Sam and Simon. Afrobeta provides music, snacks from Edible South Florida, and a Dreamcatcher installation by fiber artist, Kandi Stirman. Eggstravaganza at Doral Central Park: “The Doral Bunny is hoping on through for our annual EGGstravaganza presented by Baptist Health! Join us to enjoy carnival rides, egg hunts, fun games, and other interactive activities throughout this festive afternoon. Event entrance and egg hunts are free. Food, refreshments, carnival ride wristbands, photos with the Doral Bunny will be for sale at the event. Pre-sales will begin on March 11th and end on April 11th. Wristbands can be purchased at Doral Legacy Park and Morgan Levy Park during park hours. On-site parking $5.00 (No ATM. Cash Only). Vital Flight Kids’ Day at Opa Locka Airport : “Our program gives children, especially those fighting serious illness, an opportunity for a free airplane ride. In addition, we will have gratis entertainment and refreshments available. Flop Family Fun Fest at Haulover Beach Park: “Individuals with disabilities and their families will enjoy an unforgettable seaside experience that includes boat rides, a Fun Zone, community resource vendors, and hands-on activities, as part of the Flip Flop Family Fun Fest & Expo, at Haulover Beach Park. The free event is open to the public and is presented by the Miami-Dade Parks, Recreation and Open Spaces Department’s Disability Services Division and the City of Miami Beach Parks and Recreation Department with generous sponsorship from The Woody Foundation. Now in its second season, the event showcases adaptive craft and recreation activities, and includes boat rides, so all attendees can experience the park’s beachfront views and ocean breeze with ease.” For more information, click here.

Family Fun Fest at Biscayne National Park: “Features fun, hands-on activities for kids and their families to complete together. Family Fun Fest Junior lets toddlers (ages 5 and under) join the fun with special activities designed just for them. Free transportation from downtown Homestead is available aboard the Homestead National Parks Trolley. All events feature games, science experiments, presentations, crafts and more. Participants receive a passport which they get punched as they complete each of five activities. After collecting all five punches, kids earn a specially-designed button to help them remember the lessons learned. Participants who earn all five buttons in a season are declared "Family Fun Fest Fanatics" and earn a special award in April.” For more information, click here.
